google is taking over the world

Or… at least my life.

So, I downloaded a few apps for my iPhone to help me out with school and productivity issues, and I noticed that a couple of them have a large amount of google documents integration. After looking into a bit and noticing that google docs were accessible from my iPhone, I realized that creating all my note sets and study sheets in GDocs would be a big boon to me (downtime at work=pull out iPhone).

After I started looking a google docs, I remembered iGoogle, google’s web based dektop program. After spending a few minutes looking around iGoogle, I found a few “gadgets” that really seem like they’ll benefit me in day to day information access, and in a place that I’ll find myself quite often (homepage for Firefox is now set to iGoogle). With the combined portability of google docs, and the usability of iGoogle, I’m rather impressed with the current setup.

My question, to those of you who are far more integrated into web 2.0 (ahem… blake): What iGoogle “gadgets” should I add into my desktop, and are there any other apps that I need to consider working into usage?

Edit: I have changed my email address, please update it if you keep it in your address book: matt@themattscott.com . I’m trying to have everything non-personal (ie blog stuff and the like) moved over in the next couple weeks.
