Jesus, Interrupted
So, it was just shy of a year ago that I read “Misquoting Jesus” by Bart Erhman, which I found to be quite a phenomenal read. I’ve heard both sides of the argument against the book, but I found myself enthralled by what was presented. While my faith remained intact after I was through, Erhman managed to help rid whatever last vestages of certainty remained about my views on the Bible. That last phrase undoubtedly irks some people, it’s quite a refreshing thing in my mind, but that’s neither here nor there. (More after the break)
It appears that Erhman has released another book keeping in line with what he started in “Misquoting Jesus,” the new book, entitled “Jesus, Interrupted“ appeared in my selection of this months “Ooze Viral Blogger” selection. As soon as I noticed the book in the selection, I jumped at the opportunity to recieve it. I’m, to use quite a lame phrase, super freakin’ excited to get the book in the next couple days, and can’t wait to start into it. I’ll have a review up within a couple weeks (of course depending on shipping times), but for now, enjoy the preview video and a link, which will allow you to browse the book before you, hopefully, purchase it.
